About
I am Emma Newman, a fashion designer and Parsons School of Design student in the Systems and Society pathway—an interdisciplinary program that approaches design as a tool for ethical, solution-oriented change. My work is grounded in problem-solving, with a particular focus on morality, sustainability, and responsibility within the fashion industry.
Trained in couture environments including Elena Victoria Couture, Marchesa Couture, and Danielle Frankel, I have developed a strong foundation in bespoke garment construction for high-profile clients and events. My technical background spans embroidery, tailoring, and patternmaking, alongside illustration and digital design platforms. Through this practice, I aim to merge craftsmanship with critical design thinking to challenge conventional systems of luxury and production.
